In a boon for Indian Railways commuters, the Ministry of Railways has unveiled plans for yet another Vande Bharat Express Special train. This development marks the introduction of semi-high speed special trains on four distinct routes within less than a month, showcasing the national transporter’s commitment to enhancing connectivity.
The newly announced Vande Bharat Special train is set to operate between Chennai Central and Coimbatore. Identified as train number 06035 in the Chennai Central-Coimbatore route and 06036 in the reverse direction, this blue and white marvel aims to cater to the heightened demand experienced during the festive season.
Covering a distance of 497 km in just seven hours and five minutes, the Chennai Central-Coimbatore-Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express Special train is positioned as the fourth fastest on the route. Outshining competitors, including CBE Vande Bharat, MAS-TVC Superfast Mail, and TVC AC Superfast Express, this service reinforces the commitment to efficient travel.
During its journey, the train will make strategic stopovers at Katpadi Junction, Jolarpettai, Salem Junction, Erode Junction, and Tiruppur railway stations. Operating as a Weekly Special exclusively on Tuesdays, this semi-high-speed train is scheduled to serve commuters until January 30, 2024.
The booking for the Chennai Central-Coimbatore-Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express Special train has already commenced. Comprising eight coaches, including one AC Executive Chair Car and seven AC Chair Car coaches, this offering is poised to elevate the travel experience for passengers on this route.
This latest addition to the Vande Bharat Express network reflects the Ministry of Railways’ dedication to providing efficient and convenient rail services.
