Millie Bobby Brown Transforms into a Heroic Damsel in Netflix’s 2024 Adventure

Millie Bobby Brown, celebrated for her roles in “Stranger Things” and “Enola Holmes,” is set to captivate audiences once again in Netflix’s upcoming 2024 release, “Damsel,” following her iconic status as a Netflix icon.

In a departure from traditional fairytales, “Damsel” turns the tables as Brown’s character takes on the role of a savior rather than a damsel in distress. The teaser offers a glimpse into a world filled with fantasy, action, and adventure, where the protagonist navigates survival, fights battles, and makes sacrifices to protect her kingdom.

Originally scheduled for release on October 13, 2023, the film has been postponed to 2024. Netflix recently unveiled the trailer on its YouTube channel, amassing 2.8 million views and 56,000 likes. The caption, “This is NOT a fairytale. Millie Bobby Brown stars in Damsel. Only on Netflix 20,” sets the tone for the film’s unconventional narrative.

Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau, “Damsel” follows Princess Elodie, portrayed by Brown, who discovers her dream marriage is a nightmarish trap orchestrated by the royal family. The plot involves Elodie fighting against a looming threat, serving as a sacrifice to settle an age-old debt.

The cast includes Nick Robinson as Prince Henry, Ray Winstone as the King, Brooke Carter as Prince Henry’s sister, and Ricky Guillart as Sir Oded. Angela Bassett and Robin Wright shine as Lady Bayford and Queen Isabelle, joined by a stellar ensemble including Shoreh Aghdashloo, Sam Sharma, Sonya Nisa, Erickson Santos Gomes, Elmano Sancho, and Saif Mohsen. “Damsel” promises to deliver an engaging and empowering tale of resilience and courage.
